It's Friday!!

Happy Friday to ya'll
Well, horse season is over. And it should be my last. Yippeeee!!!
Now, it is Volleyball season. Deb & I will be at a tournament all day Saturday. Alyx is co-captain this year. I hope that she learns to be a good leader and bring out the best in the younger girls. So far, it has been frustrating for them.

No surprises yet to report. I hope to have on in mid-September.

Hey Jack, did you hear the joke about the cowboy that went into this bar.....?
If ya forgot, I can tell ya again.

I miss all ya'll. Has anyone given much thought to when we will get together again? I was hoping that we could plan something for 2010. That will give us all time to rest up before starting plans for my 2nd Ladd Renuion. I'll be doing all that I can to bring the whole family next time.... I might have to leave some of the more colorful jokes for after the girls retire for the night.

How are you Floridians doing with the weather? I am hoping that Ike misses you and heads north before making landfall.

Well, back to work for me.

Love you all
Orrin

You sure do love your Friday's, huh?! Sounds like you're really looking forward to "no more horse work". That's kinda the way I'm feelin' bout my Treasurer work. No rest for the weary. The only reason I look forward to weekends is because when I work at the office there is no one to bother me while I'm working on finances. I think it's got the best of me. I DID file to run again (for this election) and have no opponents, but I'm concidering dropping out. Least that is how I feel this morning.

You'll have to give Jack a call and repeat the cowboy joke one more time! LOL!!

As for the volleyball, Jodi is the Volleyball Queen of the 80's. She was really good in basketball too, but I think she loved volleyball more. Course Jodi was one of those kids that got the awards for everything she decided to do. When I was a kid, volleyball was just for fun....it's serious stuff now! Tell Alyx good luck, and I hope you keep your cool at the games!

Thanks for the up date. Oh...about the next reunion...you may have missed some of the "talk" but a lot of 'em want to meet next year. Guess we will have to see how it looks closer to next summer. Any one is welcome here anytime tho!

Right now seems everyone is busy at something....that's why the "chatter" on the blog has slowed down--however I know many take a peek to see if there is anything new.

Love, Sandi

Good luck to Alyx and her team this year! Did you guys watch the olympic volleyball? It was amazing!

With regard to the next time we'll get together, a few people have mentioned different options, but Sandi has the diner in Bay reserved for the July 4 weekend this summer "just in case."

I am all for having the reunion in 2009 for the 4th again. I think we should do it every year and those that can make of course, will, and those that can't will plan on the next year. I'd hate to see the years just tick on by without seeing as many kinfolk as possible. If we have it annually you won't hear so many "Dude, where'd your hair go? or "Was her butt that big last time?" You know, when you see people more often the subtle changes go less noticed. It's a kinder, gentler, approach. B'sides, I just want to see all yaw as much as I possibly can!

So, let's start signing folks up for the planning committee. Count me in!
