Hey Gabby! Should we hide all the the baby chicks in the city before you get here? Just wondering. .....gotta make this short, my leg is hurting again. Yep, been bothering me for years now--but I don't like to talk about it much--brings back all the trauma ya know ?

okay, I know the leg story, but did I miss something about baby chicks?? Do you have a Gabby story. Where did he go anyway. He doesn't have a profile still. Hey, doesn't anyone have an A, Aud or A. Shirley memory they want to share. Since I grew up so far away from everyone, I love hearing all about them.
love, evona
Hey, we gotta save some for July or we won't have anything to talk about! Mom (A Earnie) has LOTS to tell--but I don't know if she took an oath or what!??
Oh you gotta tell the chick story again! Evona, that is a beautiful picture!!!!
Naw,that chick story is totally made up.I think Aint Aud prolly started that rumor.(LOL ???) how bout roflmao ? Sandi, for your Info Gore invented the net,but I invented the computer. My first was a Hundai TWO floppy disc.Top of the line and that was BEFORE hard drives.Got it in '84 for my 16th b'day. So yes I can at least start this thing up and make it online.:)I just cant figure out a way to post my profile without a Password JODI....????And Orrin I keep trying to send you an email but they keep comig back with error. So re-check your posted email address.

rumor or not, I hope to hear the chick story as well
I don't know nothin about chicks.
sounds pretty dumb to me. did ya'll know chicks drown in the rain cause they will not take cover, they just stand with their heads up and drown. True.
Well, Jerry you should know something on Evonna, growing upwith her and all that. Come on and share some stories as we didn't know much about ya'll in calif. either.
Now A. Aud, why did you go asking Jerry that stuff. You know he's just going to tell you that I was the best sister in the world. I wasn't spoiled at all and I never ever got him in trouble for anything. That will be your story, right Jerry???
Hey Uncle G., give me your e-mail address and I'll send you an invite to post your profile.
OK I have a good'un on Diane, since I didnt git a re-action from A.Aud on the chicken thang :).Anyway you may not believe it (being born a Ladd and all) but Diane is NOT the most fearless person in the world. She needed a blood test so Aint/Mam Arlene took her to the doctor.Well,as a rule she doesnt re-act too well to doctor calls, but after the work was performed and they asked her how she was doing she said just fine .Well Mam sent her on out to the car and she paid the bill then went out almost instantly behind her.It was a snowy day in Chicago so the roof of the car had snow on it ,and as Mam got there Diane was standing on the passenger side wanting to get the door unlocked to get in.Mam (Arlene) noticed she had her arms outstretched on the roof so just as she was gonna commend her on her bravery in the office,,,Diane started slowly sliding down the side of the car making sorta "fingermarks" on the roof trying to hold on (I picture Wiley Coyote). After these many years I still laugh at the picture I form thinking about that.
Jodi,,,,use jpumphandle@verizon.net
Evonna, I
for one believe your story it's yours SO stick to it.
Love ya
I cant forget my "middle aged"daughter Cindy (middle age means between Diane & Gail #2).First let me qualify this statement with,Cindy is truthfully one of the best cooks I have ever seen but,,,, when she was about 13-14 years old she was gonna make dinner and she decided on Tuna casserole.I have always liked a good tuna on toast sandwich so I was eagerly waiting for the dinner bell to ring .Well when she brought the casserole out along with a nice salad and rolls we all took our salad and it was a nice salad, and when she served the casserole we expected the same.Well relatives,,,I can tell you that was the most "unusual" tasting casserole that I had ever tasted and she was waiting anxiously for opinions.I bowed out by saying I ate too much salad, and I dont remember what mam and the others said, but I DO know that to this day I wont touch Tuna casserole.Again I will tell you that she is now one of the very best friends you can have in the kitchen.:o)BTW I have to use anon.for now to log on
Well,I did get on.Thanks Jodi for that speedy invite.I'll be back on later with a couple of stories.
I am with Diane. I am terrified of needles and make no excuses for my occasional freak out when a doctor decides on the spur of the moment to attempt to give me a shot. I must be mentally prepared days ahead of time. Otherwise, somebody might get seriously hurt!
I dont think that I have ever seen so many men admit that they dont know nothin about chicks.....
sheesh, I knew a long time ago that I couldnt figure em out
Ok, so i can't handle needles and maybe i can't cook like my mom or sisters, or have musical talent like most in the family, but i'm sure i have other talents! right!?
Oh, but you are special....just think how the world would look without your creative ability in using hot glue....
All Right! back on track with some good stories! I love it! Oh yeah, I can picture that slide down the side of the car...tooo funnee. I don't share the needle phobia, however my daughter actually fainted by a TB test. (needle so small you can hardly call it a needle).
ps I KNOW I posted the baby chick story....guess I'll have to make a new one. An nooooo, A Aud did not make it up. She doesn't make things up! Oh, speaking of funny stories I love that one about you making the first computer. You and Gore...what a couple of pranksters! LOL! BTW, did I tell yaw I invented the cell phone? Too bad I didn't have it protected...kind of like I song I heard on the radio once...now how did that go??? "If you really want me to I'll go???". Actually, when Lori (my daughter) was 14 and really into singing, Jimmie and I figured out the words and tune, and Jimmie and my husband Jack got it down, and we have Lori on tape singing it. Pretty cool too. I figure since there is no copy rights I can pass it on to my grand daughters and by the time we are old and feeble, they may be rich over the hit song passed on from generations!! Ha! Ha! I gotta sign off on that one.
love yaw!
Thanks for the new stories!
Sandi
Sandi,I dont know much about writing songs ,but If you really want me to I'll go?? I doubt THAT would ever sell.:( :( .Seriously I would like to hear Lori's version of it when we get there, cause I remember her having a great voice.(Jodi's wedding) Anyway, seriously I still dont know the recipe for those fried chocolate pies.I would bet your mom would know it tho.I remember making them several times but I never got them the way MY mom made them but I keep trying from time to time.
Yep, Earnestine makes 'em. You know she does! I've never tried to. I don't have too...Mom cooks everything! About the song...I think I already posted (long time ago) about remembering Mom (A. Earnie) and Gabby sitting in the living room floor working on that song. Gabby sent in somewhere (Gabby you can fill in that part)....and waited to hear back. One day while in the car we all heard it on the radio! It was the ONLY country station in Chicago at the time. I think a group called the rondells or something like that put it out, and I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it made the "charts".
Lori won't sing anymore, but I kept a lot of her tapes. Just as she was getting really good she kept getting pregnant. Go figure!
Well maybe there is a song in thAT too.
