WHOOOAAA IS ME

nearly 1 am and no one is on line! doesn't anyone stay up all night anymore? humph! I may as well go to bed. :)

Hope everyone is doing good. Anyone got Gabbys email? Let's get him an invite and see if he is still as smart as he used to think he was! .....if you have it, send it to Jodi so she can send him an invite to join the blog, cuz I don't know how to do it. I leave the technical stuff to Jodi and Dylan!

Have a great day! ....hope I can get up when the alarm goes off. Jack swears it wakes the neighbors and can't believe I can sleep right thru it! I bet I hit the snooze at least 5 times before I ever wake up. I also close my eyes and set the time AHEAD. That way I have to get up to find out what time it REALLY is! Jack also doesn't understand that! I like it. That way I'm always surprised when I get up and walk to the kitchen to look at the clock. It's a good way to start the day! Honest. (just a little info to help you start your day!) ....and you shut up Jimmie! It is to a good idea!!!!

I spoke with Gabbey Tuesday night, the 15th....

He is gonna try to make it for the re-union, although his work schedule / rotatation may bring him in before the 4th and require that he be back in TX by the 5th to work again.... he said that he would put in for a couple of extra days so that he could stick around...

I am expecting an email from him any time... and I will pass his email address on to yaw

I am under the impression that he has spied on the weblog a bit.... or at least has informers....

Sandi, I used to set my alarm sooooo loud that when it went off, I would smack it silly and shut it off,,,, now I set it very low and it wakes me up gently, as my REM cycle hits the right peak, or is it a valley? anyway... give it a try sometime... nice soft music, light some candles.... no wait, do that before ya fall asleep!

Hey Orrin! I never ever thought of trying that. Maybe you are right. Sounds like I need to try it. I'll wait for the weekend tho. I have a feeling your are right, cuz Jack can just barely nudge me, or just gentle tell me the time and I'm up! Gee...where were you 40 years ago!

I'm glad your Dad is going to try to come. I think it will be a good thing. Hopefully this reunion will bring everyone closer and give us some great memories.
Love, Sandi
p.s. I think I may be in bed just a bit before the strike of midnight tonight....if I hurry!

Well, I sure hope he makes it. It would be awesome if everyone would show up. Any word from Jerry or Vernon?

One thing that has stumped me for quite a while is tracking down Erin Neace. I lost track of her when I moved to California. I was able to track down her mother and stepfather but no one answers the phone and they seem to not have an answering machine. Any suggestions would be great!

Sandi, I also have my alarm clock very low. I have it on music so it is nice and quiet. It is nice to listen to as I fall asleep and then it wakes me in the morning. Give it a try. I'm sure Jack won't let you oversleep.

Well I'm so sorry for you guys and your alarm clocks. I don't have to set one, I get up when I want and go to bed when I want. lol Alarm clocks drive me crazy and when I do have to set one (on rare occasions) I can't sleep at all, cause I'm afraid I'll sleep thru the alarm. Okay, enough of that.

WOW, so Gabby might come huh. That's amazing. My dad sure did want to see him. He talked about him alot. We tried to see him a couple of years ago when we took our motorhome trip to Arkansas and Indiana, but they had just moved up to Wisconsin and couldn't meet with us. We visited with him a few years back when he lived in Texas and had a really great time. Hope he makes it.

Sarah, I don't think Jerry or Vernon are going to make it out for the reunion. Jerry said maybe but Vernon said no. Has anyone heard from Dennis & Don?? Would sure love to see them. We really do have a great bunch of Ladd's and it will be so much fun. Oh can you just imagine the stories and tall tales we will share. Also, how about Pam...anyone heard from her??

Oh, and back to our lineup...Sandi, I think Keith was older than you and Donna & Cathi. Maybe Allen too. Is Jodi the baby cuz or would that be Cory??

Hi-dee to all..I'm a little late in coming aboard but finally made it.(I think)All is well here in big B (Bonham,Tx)except for the usual aches and pains that come with living in MY body for 68 years.I tried retirement for awhile but Arlene felt that it wasnt working to well for me (lol) so I went back to work as a correctional officer (beautified prison guard)and if I like it I'll stay a year or two,if not,,,,,,.
Looking over some of the blogs,I see a few stories that I may add at some time later. One that comes to mind is about the Brainiac Sandi(I read your remark about how smart I thought I was).Anyway,I was taking Sandi to a Dr's appointment over in Cicero,Il ,and she was maybe 13-14 years old.I parked the car across the street from her Dr's office and (I was gonna wait in my car for her)all she had to do was get out, walk around my car and go to the Dr.simple right?Nooo, she made it out of the car easily (obviously she had done this before)and then she walked around the front of my car and for whatever reason, she assumed that the car coming was probably a mirage or maybe she was gonna get in it,and she walked right into the side of it.Honestly!! She bounced back like a rubber ball and thankfully she didnt even have a scratch on her and she went ahead (after looking both ways)to her appointment.I thanked God she was okay, cause ya'll that knew my big brother and his better half, will agree that I would NOT enjoy telling them that their daughter ran over a car.LOL .Anyway thats one off the top of my head and I'll be posting more about all of you as they come to me.Glad to be here and if this thing posted,I'll be back with more as I have more time ..

Sarah Williamson said...

Well, it's great to see you posting! Great story too. That explains a lot. I would imagine Sandi has had residual effects from walking into the car. Maybe I shouldn't even go there because my sarcastic side could really have a ball with that one!

So, keep the stories coming. Hey how about a current picture of you and Arlene instead of your toys?

Hi Dad!

It's about time! How are you guys? I haven't talked to you in awhile. I'm going to be the first to say, "no stories about me, please!"

Love you,
Diane :)

I hope you can make the reunion.

Who loves ya, baby???

A quick not to Mr. Cory Richmond Ladd. Did you really take a swipe at my age and my weight in one short message? Be careful there, I know wayyy too much about you--and I'm not above enlisting Dylan for extra dirt :-D.

Evona...your room is ready and waiting, along with transportation to and from the airport! Can't wait to see ya!

Orrin Newton Ladd said...

ohhh mah! Gabby posted and even used the lingo "lol"...I'm impressed. Oh yeah...the night you let me get RUN OVER by a car! Actually I did get hurt, but not bad. Later that night my leg doubled in size! I do remember you jumping out to get me out of the road, but I was already up....and you were frettin' pretty good. In your defense, I begged you not to report it cuz I felt sorry for the guy driving the car that hit me. I also remember crying about my leg hurting later that nite, and told Debbey why-she in turn told your sister in law Earnestine, and I'm pretty sure she freaked. Best I remember, you parked in a very dangerous spot, it was raining and dark, and I think there may have even been a sign posted that said, "Don't let children cross here". LOL! Don't forget....you may have stories 'bout all us, but our parents have told stories of you all our lives! Glad you're on line. Hope yaw can make it in. After all, most of our cousins are here because of you!

....Cory, you are so busted by Jodi! She actually weight 10 pounds 9 ounces. She was the cutest little butterball baby ever! But I think Dennis and Donnie may be in the book of records for big babies. I'm not sure how much they weighed, but it was an almost unbelievable amount. A. Aud, Shirley, or Mom probably remember. Oh yeah...Sarah-plan on behaving yourself concerning moi, cuz you DO want a mattress to sleep on, doncha??? ....and please keep trying to get in touch with Errin. Anyone able to get a hold of Pam? how bout you Aunt Shirley? Know how to contact her????

Sarah Williamson said...

ummmm....yeah...mattresses are really great....and have I mentioned lately how great Sandi is? Aside from her sparkling personality, infectious sense of humor, ethreal beauty, breadth of knowledge, timeless style, inspiring success, paradisiacal humility, altruistic heart, she's just a fun gal to be around.

Ummm, can I also have a pillow?

Sandi said...

maybe you can have a pillow....AFTER I look up some of those words and are sure they were NICE!!!....then we'll see!
love, sandi

Evona Ladd Stonebarger said...

Holy Cow, some people will say anything just to get a mattress and pillow!! Did you look up those words Sandi?? I was thinking the same thing when I was reading that! lol

By the Jodi, have I mentioned lately how great you are and aside from your sparkling personality, your infectious sense of humor, ethreal beauty, breadth of knowledge, timeless style, inspiring success, paradisiacal humility, altruistic heart, you're just a fun gal to be around. You must be just like your sister. And I hope that keeps my room open! lol

love, evona

Sarah Williamson said...

hey, I do whatever it takes!

Sandi said...

guess it runs in the family, cept around here, I just say, "Hey, if I kiss your ass will you just let me have my way?" LOL! That usually gets 'em everytime! I have more fun messin' with the police chief over stuff like that. The Mayor told me Friday (and I'm not kidding) he heard me being a "Ladd smart@#$" and said, "Gee, is your whole family like that or is it just you?" I sincerely told him it WAS a family trait! ....now where's my thesaurus? I want to sound edjamacated the next time!

Orrin Newton Ladd said...

well, aint yaw somethin...ya know Sarah, and you too Evona, I am imagining that you will both travel with those lil kleenex packs... so that you can wipe the brown off your noses from time to time. it might clash with the blush dont ya know...Sheesh. I am so glad that I have a room at the Inn, Im just gonna smack yaw on the butt and say "Dang, it's nice to see ya" when I get there.

and of course, if I'm chewin, I will be kinda careful where I spit.

unless yaw got brown shoes...

Ma always said I aint got no manners, I'd hate to prove her wrong now.

and holey smokes! 11 lbs? yaw grow some big babies, I was only
5-8... I musta been well fed thereafter, cuz my butt has its own zipcode now

Sandi said...

Orrin, you never run low on words! Your butt has a zip code?! LOL! doesn't matter how big my family branch weighs....our butts just run down our legs!

Jodi was a bigun. All Mom's kids were! And she is so tiny-she ALWAYS fed us good!

...hey,do you really chew?

Orrin Newton Ladd said...

naw, not no more
no smokin either

but I still tip a beer once in a while!

Jodi said...

OK folks, I don't even know where or how to chime in at this point. People being hit by cars, faulty alarm clocks, fat babies, big butts and chewing tobacco...lawd lawd what a family.

Let me just take the easy route...Evona, no flattery needed here, I'm so excited to have you stay with us!

...and Sarah, Roget's called, they'd like to hire you.

Sandi, how is it that I never knew you'd been hit by a car?

Sandi said...

You didn't??? I thought Debbey told everyone that story! Jodi, sweetie, there's a lot more you don't know about me. It's better that way....really it is.
Love you!
