I hope everyone is in the Christmas spirit-It seems like a lot of people are having trouble getting motivated this year. Bacon was a little cranky about her Christmas outfit but she'll get used to it. I have decided to use this Holiday as an escape from reality! No sadness, no worries, no eggnog without alcohol! I will sing Christmas carols whenever and wherever I want to. I will make up the words if I have to! I will smile when a store clerk is not cheerful and I will open every gift as if it was the best thing that ever happened to me. What about you guys? Want to join me or do you celebrate the pre-Christmas days differently? Orrin I bet you've got the spirit and Cory I bet you already bought something for yourself didn't you! Sandi, I know you wait until the last day for shopping (tsk tsk). We don't have any snow here but it's cold and raining so we pretend the rain is clear snow(that's when the eggnog kicks in).

Hot Dawg Ya'll, I'm all done with my shopping, well except for stocking stuffers. I'll likely pick up a few goodies and instant lottery tickets once the stockings are hung.
Our tree went up the weekend after Thanksgiving. The girls did a beautiful job on it, as usual. Shame on me tho, I havent put up any lights outside yet. I hope to do so this weekend, assuming the temps get back into the 30's.
Single digits here this morning... Anyone wanna come up and go polar bear skinny dipping? The koi wont mind a little company.
I cant remember if I told ya'll that we took in a foriegn exchange student a couple months ago. A friend of Alyx's that wasnt happy in the home that she was assigned. Sofia is from Germany, and is like a sister to Alyx. She is a great kid, having a great time here in the good ole US of A. I am sure that we will miss her next summer when she returns home.
