Well here's something interesting-and Donna you may want to remember this when you think about a family cruise. Sandi and Jack finally got out of Bay and took the grandkids to Hot Springs for vacation.
Day One- They went to the hotel pool Jack kicked off the side of the pool and lost his pants. I'm sure small children cried and old women screamed as he tried to retrieve his pants and cover his white booty.
Day Two-They went to a theme park and Jacks legs started hurting. They couldn't find a motorized wheel chair (because the park only has one and the woman who used it never returned it) but the Red Cross had a manual chair. Hot Springs is very-very hilly. Sandi was pushing Jack in the chair -downhill-and lost control. Now Sandi runs like Forest Gump (in his youthful years of course) . She tried to slow Jack's chair but as she was sweating and flailing behind him Jack thought she was being funny and was getting scared. Poor guy burnt three fingers trying to stop the chair.
It is now day three and I am sure they will have something new to report ----

Oh my, I am really, really biting my tongue and trying not to laugh...
Jack, I hope those fingers are not burnt too badly
Sandi, I hope you have caught your breath by now.... were you "bouncing" down the hill?
Looking forward to the update tomorrow!
It's like that episode of the Beverly Hillbillies when they went to New York...except the Griffins didn't even leave Arkansas and they are causing a stir.
I'm getting visions of a scared child yelling, "Mommy! Mommy! You know that naked man from the pool yesterday??? Well he's about to run over us with his wheel chair!!!"
WOW, Sandi & Jack make new stories every where they go..you two have such exciting and strange experiences. Too funny, but I'm not laughing, I promise...ok, I lied, I am laughing, but I hope no one got hurt too badly.
they do always have a good story. now i am thinking about the time she got out of her car on a windy day by the bus... hehe
You know, these things are not even unusual any more. In fact, most of the times I don't even think to repeat some of our "events".....but the ones I DO tell.....you can bet at least ONE of my sistah's can't wait to tell it!! I do have to say Sophie said in the pool she thought a big white "cracked whale was coming at her.....and in the park? People just stood aside, NO ONE tried to help! I was actually pulling back to try to slow the chair down, (the one from Red Cross Station with NO BRAKES) and at one point I thought about letting go, but I was running too fast and knew if I let go I would end up with skid marks down the center of my face. Don't tell Jack, but it's the only reason I held on. He has pretty bad tire burns on his fingers, and I think at least 2 are broke, but hey, he's a tuff guy!!! Man, vacations are hard on grandparents, but we did entertain the kids, and that's what it's all about!! Hope you all are having a good summer. Sandi
So, this is your idea of a vacation? Sheesh!
