I want to apologize for being MIA so often this year. Sometimes time gets away from me before I realize it. I can't believe July 4 is less than a month away--I'm still recovering from Christmas.
Following up on what Sandi wrote earlier, does anyone think they might be coming down this year? I have heard (either directly or through the grape vine) that several people have weddings or other things going on this summer and can't come. The door is still open for anyone who is still able to make the trip. Even though we haven't made a lot of formal plans, all our family really needs is a place to gather...and maybe a stage :). There are a couple of new hotels in Jonesboro, and plenty of family to stay with for those who would rather not go to a hotel. Just let us know.
And for the record...my doors are always open any old time any of you want to come and visit!

Well for ANYONE that wants to come to Bay during the 4th or ANY time of the year, our doors are open. We won't "plan" a big shindig, but if you find yourself headed this way, we will be glad to have you. Maybe next year we can do a GIANT one with the other cousins invited too. It will be okay to include them now since we've all had some time to get to know each other. (that way we can gang up on 'em if they act out).
Maybe we can think of something really cool next year and make some more great memories. Don't forget....if you want to come, we always have room! Love you all

My travel plans this summer are still up in the air. The economy is putting a damper on things that's for sure. It doesn't look feasible for me to make July 4th trip though. I would love to see a planning committe put together to plan another family reunion for 2010. Is that workable? I will gladly volunteer!

I think renting homes on gulf shores is fun!Sand, sun,surf,that's fun!But the cafe was fun too.

Donna, did someone say cruise???? I'm there! Love cruisin but whatever we do will be fun. I think i'm going on a short week-end cruise next month...it will be a working cruise but hey, the company is paying for it, so it's ok. It's my daughter Jill' company and I've been helping her a little lately, so I get to go too. Short 3 day cruise from San Diego to Ensenada, Mexico. I wonder what kind of trouble Sandi and Jack could get into on a cruise??? Can you say "Life Jacket" and those little boats hanging on the side of the ship are not for fishing!!
