Cory Ladd posted a comment that I want to make sure everyone gets to see....
Well hello fellow Ladd cousins! This is Cory, Gabby's son -- not to be confused with the pretty one! I typically speak to Aunt Shirley, around this time of year, and she told me about the reunion. I received a very pleasant surprise today -- an email from cousin Jodi! That absolutely made my day! It's been SOOO long since I've seen or spoken to most of y'all (trying to fit in with you guys!).
I live sort of in the Chicago area -- really it's a suburb about 45 minutes west. I have been married for 16 years and have a 13 year old son named Dylan. I'm a "youngster" like Jodi and won't be 40 until April Fools Day! In breaking with Ladd tradition, Lisa, my wife, is the only one I've ever had, and we've only done it once! : )
Anyway, my son doesn't believe I have ANY relatives that aren't from Hawaii (that's where my mom's from, for those that didn't know!). He's really only seen my dad a couple of times, and that was when he was 2 or 3. We're really excited to see / meet my family!
If I can figure it out, I'll upload some pictures of my family. After reading all the "lip" comments, I apparently got the entire Ladd family allotment!
I hope to hear from you soon!
Love,
Cory Ladd

Hey DUDE! I left you a comment a couple of days ago, but it pissadeared into cyber space. I looked at your picture and could NOT believe how old you got!... Last time I saw you YOU were the size of your son (and looked very much like hiim!) Mostly I remember you as a baby cuz Gabbey would always compare your size against Jodi's. Oh....by the way, little bitty Jodi weight almost 11 pounds at birth....which made you look whimpy! LOL!!! (just kidding, we all know you were a "macho" lookin' babe)! Any way, you have a very attractive family. If me and my husband find our teeth I'll send you a recent pic of us. ...Oh, wait, I remember now, I last saw HIS teeth in the grand kids toy box. I gave them to the kids to play with after he used a "drummel" tool on them to "make them fit better" and he got carried away, and now they won't stay in his mouth. I got tired of dodging them flying thru the air when he would tell a big story and that's when I gave 'em to the kids. The 6 year old really looks funny when she wears them to church, but people treat her very kindly and we are not expected to put much in the offering plate. Love, Sandi
Ok, I just read that last part to Lisa, my wife, and she looked at me funny. I've TRIED telling her that my Dad's side is fairly normal, despite what she knows, but you're not helping! Thank God she's met Aunt Shirley or I'd have NO hope!
And FYI -- if I was 12, when you said, and I QUOTE, "I looked at your picture and could NOT believe how old you got!" - I would think it was cool. Since I'm starring 40 in the face, I am typing this, while in the fetal position, class of 1986 yearbook tucked under my laptop....I really hope you're happy....
Even still, it was nice to hear back from you,,even if it was like a month after my email...no, no, don't worry...my little heart can take it.....Oh...no.....hhhere....ccccome.....ttthe.....ttttears....aaaagain.....I'll be alright.....sniff,sniff....
cousin cory?! your son does look just like you did, or how i remember you looked the last time i saw you... 80 gazillion years ago! i have a couple memories of hanging out but the one i remember the most vividly is when we went to see "empire strikes back" in a very crowded theater in socal. that was the coolest and i thought you were too. glad to see the photo of your lovely family and hope there is a reunion one of these days so we can all meet eachother's new families and see our old one too!
