I'm not really sure what stories I'll choose to tell and which one's should be kept quiet. But I know I shouldn't tell on myself. I spent a lot of time with Sandi and Cathi growing up. While they were very close and best friends for many years, I somehow ended up hanging with them on a few occasions. Probably to their dismay, because trouble didn't follow me as close as it did them. I may have cramped their style once or twice. But maybe they remember some of the things I can't remember. My rememberer is not what it used to be, so Cathi and Sandi, jump in and clarify some of the hazy spots.
I remember spending the night one time and ended up with mustard and ketchup between my toes while I was sleeping. I'm not remembering what that was all about. And remember that crazy monkey? OMG! Who's idea was that? Sandi!
And remember the break in while we were in the camper in the back yard? That was scary.
And how about the time Debbey made me go to the dunes with her and some guy she was seeing. And Squiggy or Squirrly or what ever his name was. I saw tears in his eyes when the cops poured the wine out in front of him. Kinda funny for me.
Think I'll stop for now and try to think of some more.
Love y'all
Donna

You NEVER cramped our style! And the reason you got that between your toes is because you went to sleep first! THAT was the rule! We were going to light matches between your toes, but thank God one of us had the good sense not too!
Back yard camper with the break in? Yeah, it happened! As I recall, we all heard it, and were scared, and all you could say is "Where's the rest of that cheese cake?" LOL!
Hey, remember the food fight we had on that picnic? I got pics to prove it! I think David got the pork and beans poured over his head!
Glad you finally got on board! Now tell them how you acted in the squard car the night Vicki was born!
DONNA!!!I miss you. Remember when you, Cathy and I used to use salt and pepper shakers and sing songs by the Supremes?Good times-Good times!
Oh Man! That stories goes great with a pic I gave Jodi to scan of Donna (with no doubt...wearing her "go-go" boots) and jammin' out! Probably to The Beatles or something. It's a freeze frame for sure! Jodi....get that pic on line! LOL!
Donna, do you remember that volkswagon you bought? Did you ever learn how to drive stick? I swear you just left that thing in second gear all the time. Really rough pulling away from red lights and that whiny, winding noise it made when you picked up speed.-
Donna, you are so bad, I always thought you were such a good girl (and so did your Mom) boy, you sure had us fooled. Tell me some more . Do you remember driving back from Calif. in Dec. and towing a U-haul. I thought I would have to strangle you. I thought you still had the monte carlo, you actualy had a small compaact car and YES, Deb it had a stick shift. ]
....and DEBBEY-WHO taught you how to drive a stick shift? Aha! gotta give me a little credit now!
Aint Aud, it's time you know, Debbey and Donna were as bad as me and Cathi. They just didn't get caught as much!
You did teach me to drive stick-in about 20 minutes-then I drove back to Chicago.Didn't hit anything until I got home and parked! Unfortunately there are no hills in Bay and there was a large one in Chicago that I had to stop on on the way to work. Some mexican got out of his car and told me what to do-at least I think that's what he was saying.
Shall we talk about the back of the squad car. As I recall I was not alone. And why did we all put ashes in our mouth? Vickie's timing was incredible that night huh? wow, what a nite.
Sandi, do you remember one night we had gone someplace (help me remember)and you drove over some railroad tracks, and we ended up in somebodies bean field. When you turned around in it and drove back over the tracks just before the train almost took our butts with it. Dang, I needed a new pair of shorts after that.
Ya know, if Cathi doesn't check in soon, we're going to have to start telling some bad stories on her.
About my Yellow VW. It was a Super Beatle with a Rolls Royce front end. Very cool at the time. It was a Stick as they all were. I picked it up not knowing how to drive it. My boyfriend at the time, Bob Hildreth, actually taught me to drive it. It took all of one afternoon to learn. But in the winter I did drive in 2nd gear to warm up the engine faster. Mom liked to drive it after she had surgery on her neck, because it was so loud that it drowned out all the noise in her head. Because I worked in downtown Chicago, I only got to drive it on the week-ends but Dave drove it more than I did. I remember one night, my dad and I were the only 2 home and his pool buddies called him to play pool. My VW was the only car home. It about killed him to take it. He didn't even ask, he just said I'm taking your car for a while and I said "Cool, have fun". I watched him from the window upstairs and he cracked me up. Checking the lights and kicking the tires. Too funny. God rest his sole, my miss him terribly.
Donna you have GOT to keep checking in here, you're so funny. We've all missed you.
Amazing at what people remember. As you all know, all those things are just ordinary in my life and I don't think much about it til someone mentions it. Yeah, Donna I remember taking yaw into the bean field. And definately remember that train! I still think all crossings need lights! If my Dad only knew all the places his custom built LTD went! One time I parked over a septic tank and the darn thing caved in and the car just slowly got sucked in. (I was with another cousin that nite and we were hiding from some guys we didn't want to see). Any way we couldn't even open the door to get out, we had to crawl out the windows. I THOUGHT I washed it up real good (after a farmer pulled it out with a tractor), but the next day when Dad came in he said; "Why does my car smell like shit??" I just had to run in the bedroom. Couldn't even answer him!! Any way, at least I didn't nearly drown you in a septic tank! LOL! C'mon...help me remember more! Orrin LOVES to hear stories!
Love ya! Sandi
yupp! especially the them kind! I need to take some time and think back a bit harder so that I can put some stories up
