WHO'S GOT THE NEXT BIRTHDAY???

IT WAS SO HOT TODAY, WE CLOSED CITY HALL AT 3:00 --WE ARE SERIOUSLY THINKING OF DOING A 4 DAY WORK WEEK-TRYING TO SAVE ON GAS FOR ALL THE VEHICLES AND UTILITY BILLS. THAT WOULD BE NICE. I KNOW I'D BE WORKING AT HOME ON FRIDAY, BUT IT'S STILL BETTER THAN PHONES RINGING AND PEOPLE COMING IN!! WELL THAT'S IT FOR ME. WHO'S NEXT??? WHAT'S GOING ON WITH EVERYONE?

I'm still thinking about everyone and all the fun we had. It seems so long ago, but it's only been a few weeks. Life has gotten very busy here. Looks like mom had a stroke and she can't do much for herself anymore so she needs 24 hour care. Francis and I are about 18 of those 24 hours. But we're doing okay just having to adjust to living in 2 houses.

Love ya all and hope to see you all again real soon. I'm in for next July if that's what works best for most people.

I'm all whiney because I got stung by a wasp (and I'm allergic to them)so now one of my arms looks like Popeye's. So I am not leaving the house until it is too cold for wasps or a big sale comes up-

Evonna, sorry about Aunt Tressie. I'm sure you and Francis are wore out....Is she able to talk? We will remember you all in our prayers. As for you Debbey-you always had popeye arms! I know cuz you used to hit me with 'em!!

I'm also up for next July. This one is gonna be even bigger! I just know it!!!! (couldn't be much better tho!) I'm so glad everyone was able to leave with good memories. That's a whole lot more than most families ever could hope for.

As for me, I've got auditors crawling all over the place AND my computer crashed at the office. Nice timing, huh? I've got to decide if I'm running for office this month, and it's a real struggle. I want the extra moolah, but it seems a never ending job. There's always so much to do. I haven't heard of anyone running against me tho....If I could win Mayor I wouldn't have to work!!!! But that race is not for two more years. (Treasurer and Mayor have to be staggered).

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Love, Sandi

Yep, mom can still talk and can walk a little sometimes. she has good days and bad days, but isn't really able to connect to reality even on her good days she is confused.

I can still work from her house cause I have internet connection here too so that helps and I can stay up to date on what's happening with the family here on the blog.

Jerry came and stayed with my mom last week-end. He brought his daughter with him so they had a nice visit. We still had to have a lady come in and bath my mom and stuff but for the most part Jerry did okay. I hope he will come to next years reunion.

Speaking of the reunion, shall we set up a committee for planning things so you Arkansas cousins don't have to do it again. I don't know how much I can squeeze in, but will try to help as much as possible. Are we all in agreement that it will be July 4th week-end 2009??

Evona, I'm so sorry to hear of Aunt Tressie. Bless you all for taking such good care of her. I do hope Jerry can make the next one and Vernon as well.

Sandi, you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick up a very good Raid Auditor spray or Auditor Hotel to get rid of those pesky critters.

OMG! Getting out of the horse business? How do the girls feel about that? It seemed to be a big part of your lives! Course they are to the age where their own lives are busy with other things....but what in the world will you do with all that spare time? You'll have to take up more than fishin' I'm going to post a Happy Birthday for Alyx....maybe if we all chime in she will feel comfortable about coming with you next time!
