I suspect that some people may not know about this neat little feature of this blog. Since we are getting a lot of posts as well as a LOT of comments (Ladd's are never short of words!) it can get a bit unwieldy to figure out if you've read all of the comments or not, especially if the posts are older and no longer showing up on the first screen.
Well there is a way to "subscribe" to the comments of any particular post. Whether you leave a comment or not does not matter. You just click on the links to view the comments (even if it is at zero). Look below the box where you type the comment and you will see a little box next to the words "Email follow-up comments to..." and your email address will be listed below. If you check this little box then all follow up comments will automatically come to your email inbox. This saves a lot of time figuring out if you've read everything or not. Considering how nosy Ladd's can be it is absolutely vital to read all comments. Additionally, you just may want to defend yourself from the onslaught of stories that just might be about you!

I would also like to encourage everyone to post a little bio of yourself in your profile so that we all knows who belongs to who.

yeah, but don't forget...you actually have to look at the blog to sign up for comments on any "new posts". Also, I have trouble posting comments from my email (where it says "post a comment) ....just so you know I don't try to do it by hitting "reply" (I'm blonde, but I've got dark roots).....just so you know! That's how the "echo" got started (many thanks to Cory and Aint Aud for pointing that echo out for pointing that echo out for pointing that echo out.
Love to All! Sandi
ps: I know my pic is fuzzy but it hides the imperfections don't ya know.
I think your picture looks awesome!
Ditto!
Dang, the Ladd girls are purdie
well crap,
Debbie (my sweetheart and wife of 30 yrs in April) slipped on the ice while walking to the barn to do chores Friday night and broke her left leg, right at the ankle.... when I got home from work a few minutes later, she called me from the barn and asked me to come pick her up, cuz she sprained her ankle and it hurt to put weight on it....
I swear that womaon only stops to sleep.... she can't hardly stand being imobile, bless her heart.
She got lucky, wont need surgery with plate and screws.... and no cast even! they put her in a boot that can be removed for showers. What a country!
I'll check back when I can. It is great to see more new names.
Welcome and Love to all,
Orrin
I'm really sorry to hear about Deb! Tell her we're all hoping for a speedy recovery!
Good Gracious! I gotta meet that woman! (so glad no surgery involved). Tell her I hope she has a speedy recovery. ....and a BARN??? You got a barn? Heck! I live in ARKANSAS and I don't have a barn (thank the Good Lord!!) Now my brother Jimmie is the real country livin' Arkansan. He has a barn! ...horses, goats, turkeys, a gazillion types of chickens, rabbits, dogs...dogs, and more dogs, and his son Asa has a couple of critters that I don't even know what they are called. Jimmie's wife Charlotte is the ultimate animal lover. One time she and Jimmie rescued an owl that was hurt. (after they turned it over to the "officials" it died). But it's okay, cuz they stuffed 'em and he is now on display at our Nature Center. Well, it's not really OUR Nature Center, it belongs to the county....(remember Cory? the DRY county?) any way, Charlotte has an incubator for what ever type of eggs or tiny critters might need to be warmed up in.....and you never know what she's found lately and is nurturing back to health.
---Ya know Orrin, you never really said WHY you have a barn! I'm just "assuming" it has something to do with animals. (and please...no 80's remarks about the word "assume")
Tell your wife if her broken leg allows her any R&R --and a few less "chores" to get on here and join in with us! t's time for the spouses to start telling some stories!
Love, Sandi
p.s. I'm not sure WHO that picture belongs to that I'm using. Looks like a Ladd tho, huh???? (LOL!)
she wont stay still! Deb drove to detroit yesterday (1 1/2 hour plus) to pick up her friend that flew up from south carolina to help her out for a week.... she is off to Midland today, doing nails/ manicures & such...
the barn is for horses, mice and cats... lots of cats
Julaine & Alyx rock when it comes to showing their horses, in western pleasure, english and especially speed classes photos to follow on a seperate post, as I dont know how to insert them here
Hey Orrin -- does / did Debbie have her own shop? It seems like I remember going to there -- maybe in a mall?? My memory isn't what it use to be.
My wife Lisa is a hair stylist so they'll have something to talk about...like maybe why their husbands have so much gray hair!!
we had a store in the mall in saginaw for 7 years... dang I was glad when that lease ran out!
She sold cosmetics, lingerie & jewelry, and they did manicures/nails and waxings...
was a great education!
oh yeah....I bet you just HATED going in that store! LOL! I bet you did get an education!!!!
See if you can do a "link" with pics of the kids and the horses and all that. I'd like to see it. My grand daughter Sophie has a show horse, (sired by a Grand Champion in something). I'm not that edjamacated on horse shows. Sophie's horse days were cut short after what could have been a fatal accident. She still loves horses, but she can't mess with them til her Dad shovels out the money for riding lessons. He promises her every summer he will take her, but it hasn't happened yet.
